A small software company in Perth
Zero One is Ben and Jeremias. We design and build custom software for businesses in Perth and around Australia, and for the clients who want it, we host and maintain it afterwards.
We use AI heavily while building. It absorbs most of the repetitive work, which lowers the cost of a custom build enough that a business who would previously have settled for off-the-shelf software can afford something made for them. The engineering underneath is ordinary and deliberate.
Speed is only worth having if the result holds up. In TidyOps, the rules that keep one company’s data away from another’s are enforced by the database through more than forty row-level security policies, so a mistake in the application code cannot expose the wrong records.
We also run what we build. TidyOps deploys to a single server with one script and depends on no outside service that could be withdrawn. Operating our own software changes the decisions we make while writing it.
The person who scopes your project is the person who writes the code.
There are two of us, Ben and Jeremias, and we both came from enterprise IT before starting Zero One.
Being small is deliberate.
The clearest picture of how we work is the TidyOps build, which is running in production now.
